As for our production capabilities, our continuous objective to export our products to international markets is founded on our use of the latest production methods.
EKF is equipped with:
Melting furnaces (ABP)
Twin power induction melting furnaces, each have two crucibles, 3.2 Megawatt each furnace, power sharing (Total capacity: 11 molten ton / hr) as well as Press Pour Furnace with capacity of 7 tons.
Sand Plant (Webac GmbH)
Sand Plant with one mixer of 140 tons / hour including a patent design Sand cooler.
Molding Line (HWS)
Fully automatic horizontal molding line with mold size of: 870 x 870 x 250 / 250 mm.
-140 mold/hour with non-cored items.
-100 molds/hour with cored items.
Core Shop
(Laempe & Röperwerk)
Inline continuous Through-feed Shot Blast machine, Mod. CT- 6.
Belt conveyor and 6 grinding machines (Reichmann & Sohn GmbH)
-Shot Blasting rate - @24 MT/Hr.
-Max. work piece diagonal – 900 mm.
-Max. sand separation – 250 kg/min.
Shot Blasting Finishing Line (Disa)
Twin power induction melting furnaces, each have two crucibles, 3.2 Megawatt each furnace, power sharing (Total capacity: 11 molten ton / hr) as well as Press Pour Furnace with capacity of 7 tons.
Machining(Industrial Integration)
•As part of NATCO Group horizontal integration strategy, our sister company EGA – Egyptian German Automotive (part of NATCO Group)- is handling all automotive machining process requested by EKF customers.
EGA was established in 2002 with purpose of supporting the automotive CKD assembly operations of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Egypt, by providing the necessary local content.
-Brake Disc plant started with one machining line with approx. 300,000 BD/annum installed capacity.
-Moreover, two machining lines were installed to increase capacity to approx. 0.9 million BD / annum.
-EGA Components was assigned as a BD supplier to Daimler AG. and become a major supplier of Daimler AG total OES brake discs needs.
